Monkey Wrench

Okay, so I had written a huge post chronicling the epic events of last Friday, but I somehow managed to lose the entire post. Don't ask me how I did it because I have no clue. Here's an abbreviated version of what transpired:

I went on a mini-roadtrip to Concord con mi madre in the morning and exchanged an ugly $20 Christmas sweater for 2 Rachael Ray fajita pans that were on sale (normally they'd be $40 each). I can't wait to use mine (it's orange!).

We got back from Concord just in time for Meri and I to go to Providence Place Mall where (1) Meri bought David Tennant, (2) we saw The Day the Earth Stood Still in IMAX and (3) Meri lost and found her phone. Thus it was an awesome/epic day.

Since I haven't posted much to this blog at all, I'll ramble on a little more ...

Today I went to Barnes and Noble (because I haven't been there/spent enough $$$ there this vacation yet) and bought The Gun Seller by Hugh Laurie (yes, the Hugh Laurie from House, which I have become a huge fan of recently...the show is more addicting than Vicodin) . I saw it was one of the staff picks in the mystery section (my favorite). It's a spoof of the spy thriller genre, and it's supposed to be pretty good. I'm excited to read it, once I've finished the other 700 books on my list to read (and no, I still haven't finished Breaking Dawn).

It's also worth mentioning that today was an amazing day for listening to the radio. I got sick of my playlists on iTunes, so I dusted off my old boom box and flipped the radio on. A bunch of my favorite songs were played in succession on one station, and even after that I didn't change the station very often due to songs I wasn't in the mood to listen to. I'm usually such a compulsive station flipper. I think I'll turn the radio back on now and finish cleaning my room.
